Preserving Food: Peas

We picked 2gallons of peas the other day.

The peas with good shells were frozen whole.
The peas with bad looking shells were shelled and frozen.
Not a lot of food for all that work! But it'll be delicious!

This is great! I need to get better at this sort of thing. What kind of plastic bags are those? Did you use a straw to get the air out?

They are by Renolyds. They are called handivac bags. We bought them a few years ago when we bought bulk meat. They have a little vaccuum that you use to suck the air out of them. They are useful, but I think our food saver does a better job. We are just using them up.
